Funding opportunity

Funding opportunity: MSCA Doctoral Networks 2024

Apply on the EU portal

Doctoral Networks fund doctoral programmes designed to respond to well-identified needs in various research and innovation areas.

Who should apply?

The doctoral programme is set up by partnerships of universities, research institutions and research infrastructures, businesses including SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from different countries across Europe and beyond.

How does it work?

The doctoral programme will be designed to develop entrepreneurial, innovative doctoral candidates and equip them with the right combination of research-related and transferable competences. This should enhance their career perspectives in both within and outside academia.

The funded Doctoral Networks will hold open recruitment procedures thought out the course of the maximum 48-month project and the recruited candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria outlined in the MSCA Work Programme.

What is funded?

The MSCA provides a contribution to the salary costs of the doctoral candidate, and the research, training and networking costs as well as a contribution to the overall management of the project. The full MSCA contribution is listed in the MSCA Work Programme.
