European Research Area: Fostering Greater Integration. Advancing Competitiveness
The ERA Conference will take place on 18-19 September in Brussels, with all plenary sessions being livestreamed. This event is a unique opportunity to collectively shape the future of the ERA Policy Agenda to create a single, borderless market for research, innovation and technology across the EU. A parallel Exhibition will showcase how EU-funded projects are making progress in improving the European Research Area.

CONNECTS-UK Open Forum on “Democratic Backsliding”
CONNECTS-UK is holding its first Open Forum on 18th October at the University of Edinburgh, and on live-stream.
The topic of this first Open Forum (five more will follow all over the UK) is “Democratic Backsliding”, focusing on misinformation and the global impact of social media. Presentations and panel discussions involving renowned speakers from the UK and the EU will focus on democratic backsliding in politics and on trust in science.

Upcoming WIDERA Brokerage Events Eligible for Travel Grants
The NCP_WIDERA.NET project partners have launched a travel grants programme to support the participation of applicants from Widening countries to on-site brokerage events. While UK applicants do not qualify for travel grants, these events provide a unique networking opportunity.
