The 2024 Marie-Sklodowska Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships Call closed on the 11 September 2024 at 17:00 CET.
The Research Executive Agency have today confirmed that 10,360 proposals were submitted to this Call, the second highest number of proposals ever received under the MSCA. This represents an increase of 29% from the 2023 MSCA PF Call, which saw 8039 proposals submitted.
Of the 10,360 proposals submitted, 9303 were European Fellowship applications and 1057 were Global Fellowship applications. The European Commission (EC) is expected to fund around 1700 projects in total, with an indicative budget of €417.2 million.
This is the first MSCA PF Call since the UK associated to Horizon Europe, meaning successful proposals with UK hosts will be able to receive funding as beneficiaries directly from the EC, rather than through the UKRI Guarantee as Associated Partners.
Results are expected to be announced in February 2025, with the first of the successful fellowships starting in April 2025.
