The last Teaming call of Horizon Europe is scheduled to open on 3 December.
This third call under the current framework programme is the most ambitious in the widening portfolio, with budget to fund a record 18 applications.
Teaming funds establish new centres of excellence in Widening countries or modernise existing ones with the help of leading institutions from elsewhere in the EU or associated countries. Teaming centres aim to help countries increase their R&I intensity and attain a competitive position in the European R&I system as well as globally, especially by becoming drivers of change.
The EU contribution per project can be up to €15 million, with similar complementary funding from national or private sources to top it up. Teaming is a two-stage call, with the deadline of first stage applications on 10 April 2025. Successful applicants in the first stage are invited to submit complete applications to the second stage by 20 January 2026.
