Upcoming WIDERA Brokerage Events Eligible for Travel Grants

The NCP_WIDERA.NET project partners have launched a travel grants programme to support the participation of applicants from Widening countries to Pillar II and European partnerships brokerage events, organised on-site.

While UK applicants do not qualify for travel grants, these brokerage events provide a unique opportunity to establish networks between coordinators seeking new partners and to increase the uptake of Horizon Europe proposal submissions.

UKRO encourages UK applicants to participate in any suitable brokerage events and to share this opportunity with potential partners in Widening countries.

Below is an overview of forthcoming brokerage events eligible for NCP_WIDERA.NET travel grants:

  • 23 – 26 September 2024: European Water Technology Week 2024 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. This event provides the opportunity to meet representatives from leading water tech hubs worldwide. It enables networking and matchmaking, paving the way for international partnerships that will shape the future of water technology.
  • 24 – 25 September 2024: European Manufacturing Conference 2024 in Schaerbeek, Belgium. This event brings together key players in the European manufacturing industry, including policymakers and industry representatives, academia, research and technology organisations, start-ups, and innovators.
  • 24 – 25 September 2024: 1:1 meetings at SlovakiaTech 2024: THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY in Košice, Slovakia. This event combines an international professional conference with an innovation and technology trade fair, aiming to gather experts on innovation, industrial technology, transport and logistics, energy, environment, and education.
  • 23 – 24 October 2024: Sustainable Economy in Horizon Europe International INSE 2024 in Warsaw, Poland. This event provides an opportunity to establish direct contacts between scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs in areas related to sustainable economy, particularly new technologies for metals recovery and critical raw materials, clean energy, and innovative transport solutions.

Applicants from Widening countries can receive up to EUR 1.000 to cover travel and accommodation costs for the abovementioned events. To date, the NCP_WIDERA.NET project has supported about 400 travellers.
