The European Commission has adopted an amendment to the latest Horizon Europe Work Programme. In addition to changes to the 2024 calls and budget, the amended Work Programme now also includes calls for 2025 to ensure continuity of certain recurrent actions in the WIDERA part, such as ‘Teaming for Excellence’ and ‘ERA Fellowships’.
The EC will present the full range of actions for 2025 in a subsequent specific work programme.
In the updated WIDERA 2023-2025 WP, the following new elements were included:
New calls/topics:
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2025-ACCESS-01-01-two-stage: Teaming for Excellence
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2025-TALENTS-01: ERA Fellowships
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-02-01: Experimentation and exchange of good practices for value creation
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-02-02: Science comes to town
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-02-03: Talent ecosystems for attractive research careers – pilot)
Other new actions:
- Prize: EU Award for Gender Equality Champions (2024 & 2025)
- GIB: European Union Contest for Young Scientists – EUCYS (2025)
- GIB: Danish Presidency Conference on Reforming Research Assessment (2025)
- PP: Implementation of the Horizon Policy Support Facility (2024 & 2025)
- PP: Study on the R&I measures in the Recovery and Resilience Facility (2024)
- PP: Administrative management of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers – HRS4R (2024)
